IPL - Battle Royale

MY HAND. GUUUHHHH.

I have too much to write about this so stay in your seats ladies n gents. Or browse down to the tl;dr.

So, I gave up on a decent composition and just decided it was time to smack down every Pokemon I needed to draw and get to it (actually, I did have a composition and it didn't change much, except for the background and everything's placement that isn't towards the front of the image).
Since I'm working on everything I do for AT LEAST 10 hours I was forced to not be lazy like I usually am and submit a non-scrutinized piece and freaking zoomed in everywhere to make sure I got everything as right as I could (which isn't so true for some of the farfar ground area. That I was lazy with since frankly I don't enjoy drawing rocks at the moment).

Someone seemed to of thought it would be a wonderful idea to have a 'battle royale' of sorts between the IPL trainers. A few of said trainers decided they would participate. The location of the battle was decided upon as well.

Mount Challenger.

The perfect setting for an epic battle. It started near the base of the mountain and slowly began moving upwards at an uneasily fast pace. Eventually, the trainers had to stop to rest, leaving the rest of the Pokemon to their own devices in the water-filled crater...

I depicted the water basin as having quite a few craggy areas along the edge. I meant for the to be somewhere facing outward and away from the water basin (towards other parts of the island). The main body of water would be located in the direction Aerodactyl is flying.

Now for a rundown on each Pokemon and who they belong to:

Aerodactyl - Wanted it doing Hyper Beam no matter what. Aero's being the berserker he usually is :3 I was really debating whether I liked Aero drawn with my style of scales or not. Ended up opting not to. I'm pretty proud of the painterly texture I got on it in Painter.

Skitty - 2 hours to figure out I wanted Skitty hanging on for dear life on the back and not the tail. Seems Skitty has figured out Aero had a Silk Scarf that was upping the power of Hyper Beam....

Drowzee - I have no idea. I couldn't figure out where to put him. So I did the next best thing and put him in one of Aero's claws. wwweeeeeeeeeeee~~

Sandslash - Originally had him digging out of the ground near the back (that mountain-thing wasn't there originally, it was flat) and moved him to the front. He's all 'wtf?'

Cloyster - yay for under-drawn Pokemon! Cloyster was so much fun to draw. Wish I could've shown the full detail but alas, it is underwater o3o Cloyster tried to Ice Beam Aero (ice beam was a pain to draw. Took so long to even out the brightness and figure out to make the attack ending), missed, and hit Altaria instead...

Altaria - ...who was chasing after Aero until she got hit with Ice Beam. I knew I wanted Altaria flying as if to chase Aero and ended up opting for it to be hit with Ice Beam (a humorous and misfortunous part). I love drawing fluffy cloud-wings and hate drawing ice encasing fluffy wings. Actually, I don't really like drawing ice at all. Must be because I suck at it derpderp.

Tropius - Is waaaaaay far back. I originally had Scyther instead (who was fighting Slaking) but I ended up changing around the background and decided I wanted to draw tropius more. Tropius seems to be having some trouble and at some point got knocked into the water basin farther back.

Yanmega - Before I put in Yanmega, it was Grimer. Until I realized I was drawing a boring purple striped purple blob. Yanmega has been hit by Kecleon's Aqua Tail into the water.

Kecleon - Originally wanted to use Slaking, the composition changed yaddayadda. Kecleon is using Aqua Tail on Yanmega. I think I may just switch my own icon (after shark week is over) over to this pic of Kecleon since it's so small and adowable~~

Tyrannitar - I embraced my love of drawing dinosaurs. Originally had Tyran spurting flames but decided a good whack in the face was better. Kinda looks a bit too static imo...

Dragonair - Dragonair has wrapped itself around Tyrannitar and is smacking it in the face. Not really sure if I thought those two attacking each other thoroughly enough Cx;

Typhlosion - SO MUCH FUN YET SO FUCKIG HARD TO DRAW. I hate drawing typhlosion with a fiery passion (pun intended). It's such a weirdly shaped Pokemon. And then it has flames coming out of it's shoulders. I can't draw flames D: Mildly pleased with how it turned out~ Typhlo has just finished beating the crap out of Breloom...

Breloom - ...who I swear is not dead but is just very badly burned and KOed. Not much to say about Breloom since no much of it is drawn Cx Well, I shouldn't say that. I drew everything that would be there if Typhlo was blocking it (the entire mushroom hat head and everything).

Magneton - Uh...it's Magneton. woooo. Sparks n shit. I think he's just kind of hanging back all like 'totally just going wait over here in the way-foreground.

tl;dr - My hand hurts from drawing typing this up, the pic's too busy with stuff happening, I have 3 light sources, no matter how hard I try Hyper Beam will always look cartoony.
