Almician dragon designs

Dragon and saddle designs for a long term comic project I'm working on. Still fleshing out the main story but have a decent idea where it's going.
The story is a semi-sci-fi/semi-fantasy scenario in a few hundred years later, post-apocalyptic Earth where radiation has caused beneficial mutations in some species of animals causing a dragon-like appearance. Only certain types of these 'dragons' are this way though. Others originated as biological splicing experiments to get winged 'dragons' that then evolved into a somewhat sustained population of 'dragons'. There was also the experimenting in cloning dinosaurs that turned to more 'evolved over long time 'dragons''.
There are also other animals that have gone through similar processes, some more drastic than others. Not many 'old world' (in the story) animals exist anymore (i.e. elephants, certain canines, etc.).

Top dragon is from the spliced line. Bottom one from the cloned line. Both would be about 30th or 40th generation (average lifespan varies between species but is usually only 60 years, lucky ones getting to 80 years.

Hoping to have the full story fleshed out around the start of my winter break in a few weeks. By then I should have reference sheets of the various characters and a few species and a world map. I'm dedicated to this project which is something new for me (seeing how I get bored really easily with things Cx). Here's to hoping I can stick with the idea to the end.
