In huzzah-ness for Umineko No Naku Koro ni becoming an anime, airing in a few days! =3
Cause I didn't really feel like drawing realistic animals (or even cartoon ones at that) I thought it'd be appropriate to continue on my Pokemon drawing spree and use a Ninjask and Wingull. Points to those who know why ;3
Points to anyone who knows what matches up with what (text and images), too >3
As for the Pokemon, I originally wanted to do a similar style to that of my PKMN League comic entries (shading style and lineart) but ended up doing semi-realistic. Ninjask took a while, couple of hours of stippling, smudging, blurring, and more stippling. The wings didn't turn out as I would've liked though. Wingull took less time, but I was torn between drawing lots of feathers or just hints of feathers. Look at a photo of a gull and went with the hints since you don't usually see the lots of individual feathers on gulls bodies.
On a completely semi-related note went to the beach yesterday with some friends and kept trying to get a seagull to take food out of my hand. Almost touched the tail of one! They're soooooo fluffy-adorable~

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.

The bottom text is for Higurashi, which pairs with Ninjask. Kinda deceptive with Umineko's seagull crest logo behind it.
While the top text is for Umineko, which obviously pairs with Wingull, even though the text has Higurashi's dripping blood from the name.
