Frenzy Plant (2016)
Blast Burn
edit (09/2011): It's finally done!
Here is a very large drawing of every Grass-type Pokemon released so far! Even better is they are all (almost completely) to scale with each other!
If I'm missing any Pokemon please tell me so I can add them in!
I had started this way back the beginning of the year as a sketch and picked it back up a few months ago. Originally I had planned to do a nice detailed drawing with many different colors for shading but scrapped that idea last week. I haven't done many things in this sort of simple style and had fun doing it this way. The composition isn't that great though
My overall goal is to make 16 more drawings like this for each of the Pokemon types. The next type I will started sketching is Fire-types.
I did not add in the multiple forms of some Pokemon like Sawsbuck due to space and it's just not necessary. I chose Sawsbuck's spring form due to it's lack of decoration, making it easy to see Pokemon behind his horns.
However, I am adding in Pokemon like Rotom because it actually gets a type change, not just a form change.
Shaymin was small enough to add both it's forms and I consider the Sky-form a separate enough Pokemon due to it's different enough look and added typing.
_________
Program - Corel Painter 11
Time - A few hours on and off over the summer. Probably a week's worth of work overall.
Pokemon (c) Satoshi Tajiri; logo used solely for artistic purposes
Sorry for the large watermarks. I think I've become overly protective of this from working so much on it. And I might end up selling prints at ToraCon next year of this if I remember.
