This a photo Mark took during the Saturday night Higurashi shoot. Really digging this pose :3 There were only two of us Renas and 4 Keiichis. Then I think it was Shion who told us to fight. Us Renas were like "the hell? 2 VS 4?" So we each fought 2. We won =3
Here's the final product for my Ryuugu Rena costume.
Fun facts:
-> Took me 2 days straight to make the dress. Almost no sleeping and I ran to get food and/or ate my friend's food. -> The wig needs to be re-styled as I did not put enough AquaNet into it. I also need to cut it a bit more in the back. -> The bangs get in my eats and make them sting Dx -> The cleaver is VERY flimsy. I had to hold onto the area the handle connected to the blade when posing and carrying it. I also had to wrap brown fabric around it (stylishly of course) to make the handle stay on. -> The boots are not that dark. -> My hat falls off all the time. Kept forgetting to pin it to my wig somehow. -> The sleeves were not done correctly and will be re-done this summer. -> My arms felt very fat while wearing this -> The dress is made from a light-weight semi-stretch cotton material; it was the third fabric type I went through after 2 previous prototypes that failed epicly. -> The purple bows are made of a silky material of win that I can't ever find again D: -> The hat isn't finished: I didn't sew the blue band all the way down! -> I based this off of the manga cover with Rena holding a cleaver behind her back.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
