This morning my mom found two kittens in a window well. We assume they're the offspring of this white and grey cat that's been walking around our property ever-so-often, and we haven't seen that cat in at least 2 weeks. So we've set up the kittens in our bathroom and have been taking care of them all day.

HOWEVER WE CAN'T KEEP THESE KITTENS

As much as we would love to have pets again, financially we cannot afford to keep a pet right now. I've been calling shelters to see if they're taking in any strays and most of them aren't (the rest have just gone to voicemail and hopefully I'll hear back tomorrow).

If you live on Long Island (NY) and want kittens, know of someone who wants kittens, or know of a place currently accepting stray kittens please contact me!!
We really want to find them either a good home or a no-kill shelter that'll take them in.

Other stuff about the kittens:

• They are being bottlefed. They haven't shown interest in wet food.


• They aren't litter-trained.


• Today is probably the first time they've interacted with people so they're pretty skittish and defensive (though are slowly starting to warm up to us).


• They have not been spayed/neutered.


• We estimate they're about 6 weeks old.
